Wow this is the beginning the the new computing area with The Computing Scale. A real talking point in your home, originally signed "The Computing Scale Co. of Dayton, Ohio," this rugged cast iron grocery or candy scale from around 1900 has worn cream paint.

The cast iron frame has lots of wear for antique character. The plate glass shelf is a missing.

Presumably no longer legal for trade, this antique appears to be in more or less working order, and calculates up to 30 pounds at prices from 1/2 to 60 cents per pound. There is a double bubble level for accuracy. The scale rests at "26 lbs," and we don't know how to adjust the scale to "0."

Measurements are 535mm long, 480mm wide and 760mm high.
