Cedar Deodar is a species of Cedar native to the Himalayas where it's local name is Deodar translated to "timber of the gods". It is a dark light aromatic wood that is rot resistant and durable. Cedar bowls/platters have natural irregularities, holes and bark inclusions which have been left to add unique character. Originally used in building Temples and bridges and it also have medicinal properties.

To clean your Bowl/Platter use warm soapy water to clean making sure you dry thoroughly afterwards. Then lightly oil with a food safe oil such as Coconut or Walnut and wipe dry.
Important: never put bowl/platter in the Microwave, Dishwasher or soak in water
